Hindi Translation:
उदरता ऐश्वर्य का आभूषण है; वाणी पर संयम, शौर्य का;
शान्ति, ज्ञान का; विनय, प्रसिद्धि का; धन का, यथोचित खर्च; क्रोध पर नियंत्रण, तपस्या का;
क्षमा, प्रभुत्व का; तथा ईमानदारी, धर्म का। अच्छा आचरण उपरोक्त सभी गुणों का आधार है और सबसे बड़ा आभूषण है।

English Translation:
Benevolence is the ornament of wealth; restraint over speech,
of valour; calmness, of knowledge; humility, of fame; appropriate
spending, of wealth; control of one’s anger, of penance; forgiveness, of power; and honesty, of dharma.
Good conduct is the base for all the above qualities and is the greatest ornament of all.

No weapon can cut it (the self, the soul), nor can fire burn it,
nor water drench it, nor wind wither it.

Transliteration:
atirūpeṇa vai sītā cātigarveṇa rāvaṇaḥ।
atidānādbalirbaddho hyati sarvatra varjayet॥

Hindi translation:
अत्यधिक सुन्दरता के कारण सीताहरण हुआ। अत्यन्त घमण्ड के कारण रावण का अन्त हुआ।
तथा अत्यधिक दान देने के कारण बलि का दमन हुआ। अतः हर स्थिति में अति को टालना चाहिए।

English translation:
Sītā was abducted because of extreme beauty, Rāvaṇa was destroyed because of excessive pride,
and Bali was subdued because of excessive charity. That is why, in every situation, excess should be avoided.

ईशा वास्यमिदं सर्वं यत्किञ्च जगत्यां जगत्‌।
तेन त्यक्तेन भुञ्जीथा मा गृधः कस्यस्विद्धनम्‌॥

Transliteration:
īśā vāsyamidaṃ sarvaṃ yatkiñca jagatyāṃ jagat।
tena tyaktena bhuñjīthā mā gṛdhaḥ kasyasviddhanam॥

Yoga is the art of working skillfully.

‌बुद्धियुक्तो जहातीह उभे सुकृतदुष्कृते।
तस्माद्योगाय युज्यस्व योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्॥

Transliteration:
buddhiyukto jahātīha ubhe sukṛtaduṣkṛte।
tasmādyogāya yujyasva yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam॥

Hindi Translation:
समबुद्धियुक्त मनुष्य इस जीवन में ही शुभ और अशुभ प्रतिक्रियाओं से छुटकारा पा लेता है।
इसलिए तू समत्वरूप योग में लग जा। यह योग ही कर्मों में कुशलता है।

English Translation:
Equipped with understanding, one can renounce both good and bad reactions in this world.
Thus, get engaged in equanimous yoga. Yoga is the art of working skillfully.

रामान्नास्ति परायणंपरतरं रामस्य दासोस्म्यहं रामे चित्तलयस्सदा भवतु मे भो राम मामुद्धर॥

Transliteration:
rāmo rājamaṇiḥ sadā vijayate rāmaṃ rameśaṃ bhaje rāmeṇābhihatā niśācaracamūḥ rāmāya tasmai namaḥ।
rāmānnāsti parāyaṇaṃ parataraṃ rāmasya dāso’smyahaṃ rāme cittalayaḥ sadā bhavatu me bho rāma māmuddhara॥

Hindi Translation:
राजमणि राम की सदा विजय होती है। मैं रमेश राम की आराधना करता हूँ। राक्षसों की सेना राम द्वारा नष्ट हुई। उस राम को नमस्कार। राम से बड़ी कोई शरण नहीं है। मैं राम का सेवक हूँ। मेरा मन सदा राम में लीन हो। हे राम, मेरा उद्धार करो।

English Translation:
I contemplate on Sri Rama, Who is the Jewel among the Kings, Rama, the jewel among kinds, is always victorious. I worship Rāma, the lord of Sītā. By him were destroyed the armies of demons. Salutations to that Rama. There is no greater refuge than Rama. I am a servant of Rama. Let my mind be ever immersed in Rama. Oh Rama, uplift me.

Transliteration:
ahaṃ bramhāsmi।

I am Brahman.

ब्रह्म वा इदमग्र आसीत्तदात्मानमेवावेदहं ब्रह्मास्मीति।

Transliteration:
brahma vā idamagra āsīttadātmānamevāvedahaṃ brahmāsmīti।

Hindi Translation:
यह (स्वयं) वास्तव में शुरुआत में ब्रह्म था। वह अपने आप को केवल 'मैं ब्रह्म हूँ' ऐसे जानता था।

English Translation:
This (self) was indeed Brahman in the beginning. It knew itself only as ‘I am Brahman’.

वीरभोग्या वसुंधरा।

Transliteration:
vīrabhogyā vasuṃdharā।

Hindi Translation:
पृथ्वी वीरों की है।

English Translation:
The earth belongs to the brave.


‌राज्यं दास्ये न देवेभ्यो वीरभोग्या वसुंधरा।
क्ञ्रणं दास्यामि ते रुद्र देवानां पार्टिसिने॥

Transliteration:
rājyaṃ dāsye na devebhyo vīrabhogyā vasuṃdharā।
raṇaṃ dāsyāmi te rudra devānāṃ pārṭisine॥

Hindi Translation:
(शङ्खचूड ने कहा,) मैं यह राज्य देवताओं को नहीं लौटाऊंगा क्योंकि यह पृथ्वी महान् योद्धाओं की है।
हे शिव! देवताओं के प्रति तुम्हारे पक्षपात के विरुद्ध मैं तुमसे लड़ूंगा।

English Translation:
(Śaṅkhacūḍa said,) I will not return this kingdom to the gods as this earth belongs to great warriors.
Oh Śiva! I’ll fight you for your partial behaviour towards gods.

svasmai svalpaṃ samājāya sarvasvam।

āyāsāyāparaṃ karma vidyānyā śilpanaipuṇam॥

Hindi Translation:
कर्म वही है जो बन्धन का कारण न हो और विद्या वही है जो मुक्ति की साधिका हो।
इसके अतिरिक्त और कर्म तो केवल परिश्रमरूप है तथा अन्य विद्याएँ कला-कौशल मात्र ही हैं।

English Translation:
That is action which does not lead to bondage, and knowledge is that which leads to liberation.
Otherwise, action is merely exertion, and knowledge is only skill.

Transliteration:
yato dharmastato jayaḥ।

जहाँ धर्म है वहाँ विजय होती है।

Where there is dharma, there is victory.

उक्तवानस्मि दुर्बुद्धिं मन्दं दुर्योधनं पुरा।
यतः कृष्णस्ततो धर्मो यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः॥

Transliteration:
uktavānasmi durbuddhiṃ mandaṃ duryodhanaṃ purā।
yataḥ kṛṣṇastato dharmo yato dharmastato jayaḥ॥

Hindi Translation:
दुष्ट मन्दबुद्धि दुर्योधन को मैंने पहले ही कहा था कि जहाँ कृष्ण है वहाँ धर्म है और जहाँ धर्म है वहाँ विजय है।

English Translation:
I have told this in the past to Duryodhana who is wicked and does not possess wisdom, that where there is Kṛṣṇa, there is dharma, and where there is dharma, there is victory.

svadharme nidhanaṃ śreyaḥ paradharmo bhayāvahaḥ

दूसरे के मार्ग पर चलना भयावह है।
इससे बेहतर है अपने कर्तव्य के निर्वहन में मरना।

English Translation:
It is preferable to die in the discharge of one’s duty,
than to follow the path of another, which is fearsome.

श्रेयान्स्वधर्मो विगुणः परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात्।
स्वधर्मे निधनं श्रेयः परधर्मो भयावहः॥

Transliteration:
śreyānsvadharmo viguṇaḥ paradharmātsvanuṣṭhitāt।
svadharme nidhanaṃ śreyaḥ paradharmo bhayāvahaḥ॥

Hindi Translation:
अपने नियत कार्यों को दोष युक्त सम्पन्न करना अन्य के कार्यों को समुचित ढंग से करने से कहीं अधिक श्रेष्ठ होता है। अपने कर्तव्य का पालन करते हुए मरना दूसरों के जोखिम से युक्त भयावह मार्ग का अनुसरण करने से श्रेयस्कर होता है।

English Translation:
It is far better to perform one’s duty, though tinged with faults, than to perform another’s duty, though perfectly. In fact, it is preferable to die in the discharge of one’s duty, than to follow the path of another, which is fraught with danger.

हम प्रार्थना करते हैं कि तुम सौ साल जियो। ईश्वर हमेशा तुमहारी रक्षा करे।

स्वस्थस्य स्वास्थ्यरक्षणमातुरस्य विकारप्रशमनं च॥

Transliteration:
svasthasya svāsthyarakṣaṇamāturasya vikārapraśamanaṃ ca॥

स्वस्थ व्यक्ति के स्वास्थ्य की रक्षा तथा रोगी के रोग का प्रशमन करना (आयुर्वेद का प्रयोजन है)।

(The purpose of āyurveda is to) protect the health of a healthy person and to cure the disease of the patient.

इसलिए उठो और यश प्राप्त करो। अपने शत्रुओं पर विजय पाकर समृद्ध राज्य का भोग करो।
ये (सब योद्धा) मेरे द्वारा पहले ही मारे जा चुके हैं, और हे सव्यसाची, तुम केवल निमित्त मात्र बनो।

English Translation:
Therefore, arise and attain glory. Conquer your enemies and enjoy prosperous rulership.
These (all these warriors) have already been slain by me, and you, oh expert archer, become but an instrument.

सुख-दुःख, हानि-लाभ, जय-पराजय को एक समान समझकर युद्ध करो।
ऐसा करने से तुम्हें पाप नहीं लगेगा।

English Translation:
Fight by treating alike happiness and distress, loss and gain,
victory and defeat, and by doing so, you shall not incur sin.

Hindi Translation:
इस संसार में ज्ञान के समान पावन करने वाला कुछ भी नहीं है।
जो योग सिद्धि प्राप्त करता है, वह समय के साथ अपने भीतर इस ज्ञान को पाता है।

English Translation:
In this world, there is nothing so beneficent as knowledge.
One who is accomplished in the practice of yoga finds this knowledge within oneself in due course of time.

English Translation:
(Śiva says to Pārvatī): Oh Manoramā, chanting Rāma, Rāma, Rāma, I rejoice in Rāma.
Oh beautiful faced Pārvatī, chanting this name is comparable to chanting a thousand names of Viṣṇu.

परोपकारः पुण्याय पापाय परपीडनम्॥

परोपकार ही पुण्य है और दूसरों को पीड़ा पहुँचाना पाप है।

English Translation:
Helping others is virtuous; causing harm to others is sinful.

अष्टादशपुराणानां सारं व्यासेन कीर्तितम्।
परोपकार: पुण्याय पापाय परपीडनम्॥

Hindi Translation:

English Translation:
The essence of the eighteen Purāṇas has been described by Vyasa in two maxims:
helping others is virtuous; causing harm to others is sinful.


यदभावि न तद्भावि भावि चेन्न तदन्यथा।

Transliteration:
yadabhāvi na tadbhāvi bhāvi cenna tadanyathā।

Hindi Translation:
जो होना नियत नहीं है, वह होगा ही नहीं। जो होना नियत है, वह तो अवश्य ही होगा।

English Translation:
That which is not destined to happen, will not happen, and that which is destined to happen, will certainly happen.

इति चिन्ताविषघ्नोऽयमगदः किं न पीयते॥

Transliteration:
yadabhāvi na tadbhāvi bhāvi cenna tadanyathā।

जो होना नियत नहीं है, वह होगा ही नहीं। जो होना नियत है, वह तो अवश्य ही होगा।
चिन्तारूपी विष का शमन करने वाली इस बोधरूपी औषधि का सेवन लोग क्यों नहीं करते हैं?

English Translation:
That which is not destined to happen, will not happen, and that which is destined to happen, will certainly happen.
Why don’t people consume this medicine of knowledge that relieves the poison of worry?

Kṛṣṇa, Govinda, is the supreme lord,
is the embodiment of truth, knowledge, and bliss, is without a beginning, is primal, and is the cause of all causes.

Whether I am a charioteer or a charioteer’s son, whoever or whatever I am,

Oh Arjuna, perform your action by being situated in yoga, abandoning attachment and
being indifferent to success and failure. Such equanimity is called yoga.

सुखार्थी को विद्या कहाँ से मिले, और विद्यार्थी को सुख कहाँ से? अतः या तो सुख की कामना कर विद्या का त्याग कर देना चाहिये
अथवा विद्या की प्राप्ति के लिये सुख का परित्याग कर देना चाहिये।

English Translation:
For the one seeking happiness, where is knowledge? For the one seeking knowledge, where is happiness?
Thus, one should either pursue happiness and give up knowledge, or pursue knowledge and give up happiness.

Knowledge is the supreme wealth, as it cannot be stolen or taxed, cannot be divided among brothers,
is not heavy to carry, and when spent, it ever increases.


प्रत्यवायो न विद्यते।

pratyavāyo na vidyate।

(इस प्रयास में) कोई हानि नहीं है।

English Translation:
(In this endeavour) there is no loss.


नेहाभिक्रमनाशोऽस्ति प्रत्यवायो न विद्यते।
स्वल्पमप्यस्य धर्मस्य त्रायते महतो भयात्॥

nehābhikramanāśo’sti pratyavāyo na vidyate।
svalpamapyasya dharmasya trāyate mahato bhayāt॥

In this endeavour, there is no loss or diminution, and even a little advancement on this path protects one from great fear.

This (the self) is never born nor does it ever die; once having existed, it does not cease to be.

जीवितं क्षणविनाषि शाश्वतं किमपि नात्र।

Transliteration:
jīvitaṃ kṣaṇa vināṣi śāśvatam kimapi nātra।

Hindi Translation:
जीवन क्षणभंगुर है। यहाँ कुछ भी शाश्वत नहीं है।

English Translation:
Life is ephemeral; nothing here is permanent.


जीवेषु करुणा चापि मैत्री तेषु विधीयताम्।

Transliteration:
jīveṣu karuṇā cāpi maitrī teṣu vidhīyatām।

Hindi Translation:
जीवों पर करुणा एवं जीवों से मैत्री कीजिये।

English Translation:
Be compassionate and friendly to all living beings.​


जीवन्तं मृतवन्मन्ये देहिनं धर्मवर्जितम्।
मृतो धर्मेण संयुक्तो दीर्घजीवी न संशयः॥

Transliteration:
jīvantaṃ mṛtavanmanye dehinaṃ dharmavarjitam।
mṛto dharmeṇa saṃyukto dīrghajīvī na saṃśayaḥ॥

Hindi Translation:
जो धर्मविहीन है, उसे मैं जीते-जी मरा मानता हूँ।
लेकिन जो धर्मपरायण है, वह मरने के बाद भी बेशक दीर्घकाल तक जीता है।

English Translation:
One who is devoid of dharma, I consider them to be dead even when they are living;
one who is endowed with dharma, they indeed live long, even when they are dead.

Transliteration:
punarjanmane mriyāmahe।

Hindi Translation:
हम पुनर्जन्म लेने के लिए मरते हैं।

We die to be reborn.

Transliteration:
madhuradhipaterakhilaṃ madhuram।

Hindi Translation:
मधुरता के स्वामी (श्री कृष्ण) का सब कुछ मधुर है।

English Translation:
Everything about the lord of sweetness (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) is sweet.



अधरं मधुरं वदनं मधुरं नयनं मधुरं हसितं मधुरं।
हृदयं मधुरं गमनं मधुरं मधुराधिपतेरखिलं मधुरं॥

Transliteration:
adharaṃ madhuraṃ vadanaṃ madhuraṃ
nayanaṃ madhuraṃ hasitaṃ madhuraṃ।
hṛdayaṃ madhuraṃ gamanaṃ madhuraṃ
madhuradhipaterakhilaṃ madhuraṃ॥

Hindi Translation:
उसके होंठ मधुर हैं, चेहरा मधुर है,
उसकी आँखें मधुर हैं, और मुस्कान मधुर है।
उसका हृदय मधुर है, और चाल भी मधुर है।
मधुरता के स्वामी (श्री कृष्ण) का सब कुछ मधुर है!

English Translation:
His lips are sweet, his face is sweet,
His eyes are sweet, and his smile is sweet.
His heart is sweet, and his gait is sweet.
Everything about the lord of sweetness (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) is sweet!

English Translation:
Goddess Saraswati, you are pure like the jasmine flower and refreshing like the moon.
Adorned with the veena and blessings, seated on a white lotus.
You are worshipped by Lord Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, and other deities.
Please protect me and remove my ignorance.

चरन्मार्गान्विजानाति।

Transliteration:
caranmārgānvijānāti।

Hindi Translation:
एक पथिक अंततः मार्ग को जान लेता है।

English Translation:
A wanderer (eventually) knows the path.

चरन्मार्गान्विजानाति नक्षत्रैर्विन्दते दिशः।
आत्मना चात्मनः पञ्च पीडयन्नानुपीड्यते॥

Transliteration:
caranmārgānvijānāti nakṣatrairvindate diśaḥ।
ātmanā cātmanaḥ pañca pīḍayannānupīḍyate॥

A wanderer knows the path by following the stars, and discovers direction within oneself,

English Translation:
O mind, never forsake the truth of Brahman, Never accept the false notions of the mind, in any way.
O mind, always speak the truth, guided by the wise, Realise the unreality of the mind as false, O wise one.

यस्य नाथो जगन्नाथस्तस्य दुःखं कथं प्रभो।

Transliteration:
yasya nātho jagannāthastasya duḥkhaṃ kathaṃ prabho।

Hindi Translation:
जिसके नाथ जगन्नाथ (भगवान कृष्ण) हैं, उसके लिए दुःख कैसे हो सकता है, हे प्रभो।

English Translation:
For the one who has Lord Jagannath (Lord Krishna) as their master, how can there be sorrow, O Lord?

अनाथस्य जगन्नाथ नाथस्त्वं मे न संशयः।
यस्य नाथो जगन्नाथस्तस्य दुःखं कथं प्रभो॥

Transliteration:
anāthasya jagannātha nāthastvaṃ me na saṃśayaḥ।
yasya nātho jagannāthastasya duḥkhaṃ kathaṃ prabho॥

जो व्यक्ति अनाथ है, उसका नाथ जगन्नाथ है, इसमें कोई संशय नहीं।
जिसके नाथ जगन्नाथ (भगवान कृष्ण) हैं, उसके लिए दुःख कैसे हो सकता है, हे प्रभो॥

English Translation:
For the one who is bereft of support, You, Lord Jagannath, are our master, without any doubt.
Hence, to the one whose master is Lord Jagannath (Lord Krishna), how can there be sorrow, O Lord?

Truth is indeed the eternal righteousness among the virtuous,
Truth alone should be revered, for it is the ultimate goal.

Only a learned person can understand the hardship borne by another learned person to earn knowledge.

विद्वानेव विजानाति विद्वज्जनपरिश्रमम्।
न हि वन्ध्या विजानाति गुर्वीं प्रसववेदनां॥

Transliteration:
vidvāneva vijānāti vidvajjanapariśramam।
na hi vandhyā vijānāti gurvīṃ prasavavedanāṃ॥

विद्वान् ही विद्वान लोगों की मेहनत को जानता है।
(जैसे) वन्ध्या स्त्री (जिसके बच्चे न हों) गर्भवती स्त्री की प्रसव वेदना को नहीं जानती।

English Translation:
Only a learned person can understand the hardship borne by another learned person to earn knowledge. Just as a barren woman cannot understand the severe pain endured by a pregnant woman.

मैं सम्पूर्ण लोकों में सुन्दर तथा रणक्रीडा में धीर,
कमलनेत्र, रघुवंश नायक, करुणा की मूर्ति और करुणा के भण्डार रुपी श्रीराम जी की शरण में हूं।

English Translation:
I seek refuge in Lord Shri Rama, who is beautiful among all worlds, calm in battles, lotus-eyed,
the hero of the Raghu dynasty, the embodiment of compassion, and the storehouse of mercy.

padaṃ hi sarvatra guṇairnidhīyate।

अच्छे गुण सभी जगह अपने पाँव के निशान छोड़ते हैं।

English Translation:
Good qualities put their footprints everywhere.

तथापि शस्त्रव्याहारण्यौरे नेपोलियनभावे चिरमस्य तस्तुषः।
तुतोष वीर्यातिष्येन वृत्रहा पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते॥

tathāpi śastravyāhāraṇyaure nepoliyanabhāve ciramasya tastuṣaḥtutoṣa।

English Translation:
Yet, Rama admires Indra, the vanquisher of the demon Vritra, for his exceptional valour, despite wielding potent Astras (celestial weapons) and resolutely facing adversaries with unwavering enmity. Similarly, everywhere, a path will always exist for the wise and courageous; this truth holds steadfast.

The intelligent engage their time in the pursuit of knowledge, art, and the delights of science.
The life of a fool, however, passes by amidst troubles, sleep, or quarrels.

चिंता मत करो।

Do not grieve.

Transliteration:
ahaṃ tvā sarvakaṣṭebhyo mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ।
evameva vacassākṣāt sadguroḥ karuṇāmṛtam॥

Hindi Translation:
मैं तुम्हें सभी कठिनाइयों से मुक्त कर दूंगा; चिंता मत करो।
ये शब्द सच्चे गुरु (भगवान शिव) द्वारा सीधे कहे गए हैं और इन्हें करुणा का अमृत कहा जा सकता है।

English Translation:
I will liberate you from all difficulties; do not grieve.
These words are like the nectar of compassion, spoken directly by the true Guru (Lord Shiva).

Transliteration:
yajñārthāt karmaṇo ’nyatra loko ’yaṁ karma-bandhanaḥ।
tad-arthaṁ karma kaunteya mukta-saṅgaḥ samācara॥

Hindi Translation:
विष्णु के लिए यज्ञ के रूप में किया गया काम करना आवश्यक है; अन्यथा काम से संसार में बंधन होता है। इसलिए, हे कुंतीपुत्र,
अपने निर्धारित कर्तव्यों को उसके संतुष्टि के लिए निष्पक्षता से करो, और इसी तरह तुम हमेशा बंधन से मुक्त रहोगे।

English Translation:
Work done as a sacrifice for Viṣṇu has to be performed; otherwise work causes bondage in this material world.
Therefore, O son of Kuntī, perform your prescribed duties for His satisfaction, and in that way you will always remain free from bondage.

अकर्मणश्च बोद्धव्यं गहना कर्मणो गतिः॥

Transliteration:
karmaṇo hyapi boddhavyaṃ boddhavyaṃ ca vikarmaṇaḥ।
akarmaṇaśca boddhavyaṃ gahanā karmaṇo gatiḥ॥

Hindi Translation:
कर्म की जटिलता बहुत मुश्किल से समझी जा सकती है।
इसलिए किसी व्यक्ति को ठीक से जानना चाहिए कि कर्म क्या है, क्या निषिद्ध कर्म है, और न करने का क्या मतलब है।

English Translation:
The intricacies of action are very hard to understand.
Therefore one should know properly what action is, what forbidden action is and what inaction is.

क्रोध साक्षात् यम है।
तृष्णा नरक की ओर​ले जाने वाली वैतरणी है।
ज्ञान कामधेनु है और​ संतोष ही तो नंदनवन है।

English Translation:
Anger is a personification of Yama (the demigod of death); Thirst is like the hellish river Vaitarani;
Knowledge is like a Kamadhenu (the cow of plenty),
and Contentment is like Nandanavana (the garden of Indra).

Hindi Translation:
कलियुग में केवल हरिनाम, हरिनाम और हरिनाम से ही उद्धार हो सकता है|
हरिनाम के अलावा कलियुग में उद्धार का अन्य कोई भी उपाय नहीं है! नहीं है! नहीं है!

English Translation:
In this age of quarrel and hypocrisy i.e the Kaliyuga, the only means of deliverance is the chanting of the holy names of the Lord. There is no other way. There is no other way. There is no other way.

Transliteration:

sāgarā bhedamicchanti pralaye’pi na sādhavaḥ॥

Hindi Translation:
जिस सागर को हम इतना गम्भीर समझते हैं, प्रलय आने पर वह भी अपनी मर्यादा भूल जाता है और किनारों को तोड़कर जल-थल एक कर देता है;
परन्तु साधु अथवा श्रेठ व्यक्ति संकटों का पहाड़ टूटने पर भी श्रेठ मर्यादाओं का उल्लंघन नहीं करता।

English Translation:
At the time of the Pralaya (universal destruction) the oceans are to exceed their limits and seek to change,
but a saintly man never changes.

Transliteration:

vītarāgabhayakrodhaḥ sthidhīrmunirucyate॥

Hindi Translation:
जिसका मन त्रिविध दुखों में भी विचलित नहीं होता और सुख आने पर भी प्रसन्न नहीं होता तथा जो मोह,
भय और क्रोध से रहित होता है, वह स्थिर बुद्धि वाला मुनि कहलाता है।

English Translation:
One who is not disturbed in mind even amidst the threefold miseries or elated when there is happiness,
and who is free from attachment, fear and anger, is called a sage of steady mind.

परोपकाराय फलन्ति वृक्षाः परोपकाराय वहन्ति नद्यः।

paropakārāya phalanti vṛkṣāḥ paropakārāya vahanti nadyaḥ।
paropakārāya duhanti gāvaḥ paropakārārthamidaṃ śarīram॥

Hindi Translation:
पेड़ दूसरों की सहायता के लिए फल देते हैं। नदियाँ दूसरों की मदद के लिए बहती हैं। गायें दूसरों को खिलाने के लिए दूध देती हैं। उसी प्रकार अपना अपना मानव शरीर दूसरों की सहायता के लिए नियोजित किया जाना चाहिए।

English Translation:
Trees give fruits to assist others. Rivers flow to help others. Cows produce milk to feed others. In the same way, our own human body should also be employed for the assistance of others.


एतद् अपि गमिष्यति।

Transliteration:
etad api gamiṣyati।

Hindi Translation:
यह भी गुजर जाएगा।

English Translation:
This too shall pass.


स्वात्मनि स्नेह्यत आदौ।

Transliteration:
svātmani snehyata ādau।

Hindi Translation:
पहले अपने आप को प्यार करो।

English Translation:
Love yourself first.


मयाध्यक्षेण प्रकृति: सूयते सचराचरम्।
मृत्युलोके महाकालं लिङ्गत्रयं नमोऽस्तुते॥

Transliteration:
ākāśe tārakama liṃgama pātāle hāṭakeśvaram।
hetunānena kaunteya jagadviparivartate॥

Hindi Translation:
यह भौतिक प्रकृति, जो मेरी ऊर्जाओं में से एक है, मेरे निर्देशन में काम कर रही है,
हे कुंती के पुत्र, सभी गतिशील और अचर प्राणियों को उत्पन्न कर रही है। इसके नियम के तहत यह अभिव्यक्ति बार-बार बनती और नष्ट होती है।

English Translation:
This material nature, which is one of My energies, is working under My direction,
O son of Kuntī, producing all moving and nonmoving beings. Under its rule this manifestation is created and annihilated again and again.

pātālabhūtalavyomacāriṇaśchadmacāriṇaḥ।
na draṣṭumapi śaktāste rakṣitaṃ rāmanāmabhiḥ॥

Hindi Translation:
जो जीव पाताल, पृथ्वी और आकाश में विचरते रहते हैं अथवा छद्दम वेश में घूमते रहते हैं, वे राम नामों से सुरक्षित मनुष्य को देख भी नहीं पाते।

English Translation:
They who travel in the hell, earth and heaven and who travel secretly (changing forms), would not be able to see (the one who reads) the protective chant of Ram by the power of chant.

The company agrees not to agree to any settlement that admits fault for you or imposes obligations on you without your prior agreement.

Disclaimers

You accept all risk of using the forum and content on the forum. As far as the law allows, the company and its suppliers provide the forum as is, without any warranty whatsoever.

The forum may hyperlink to and integrate forums and services run by others. The company does not make any warranty about services run by others, or content they may provide. Use of services run by others may be governed by other terms between you and the one running service.

Limits on Liability

Neither the company nor its suppliers will be liable to you for breach-of-contract damages their personnel could not have reasonably foreseen when you agreed to these terms.

As far as the law allows, the total liability to you for claims of any kind that are related to the forum or content on the forum will be limited to $50.

You agree that the company will be free to act on feedback and suggestions you provide, and that the company won’t have to notify you that your feedback was used, get your permission to use it, or pay you. Disputes

governing_law will govern any dispute related to these terms or your use of the forum.

You and the company agree to seek injunctions related to these terms only in state or federal court in city_for_disputes. Neither you nor the company will object to jurisdiction, forum, or venue in those courts.

Other than to seek an injunction or for claims under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, you and the company will resolve any Dispute by binding American Arbitration Association arbitration. Arbitration will follow the AAA’s Commercial Arbitration Rules and Supplementary Procedures for Consumer Related Disputes. Arbitration will happen in San Francisco, California. You will settle any dispute as an individual, and not as part of a class action or other representative proceeding, whether as the plaintiff or a class member. No arbitrator will consolidate any dispute with any other arbitration without the company’s permission.

Any arbitration award will include costs of the arbitration, reasonable attorneys fees, and reasonable costs for witnesses. You and the company may enter arbitration awards in any court with jurisdiction.

General Terms

If a provision of these terms is unenforceable as written, but could be changed to make it enforceable, that provision should be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. Otherwise, that provision should be removed.

You may not assign your agreement with the company. The company may assign your agreement to any affiliate of the company, any other company that obtains control of the company, or any other company that buys assets of the company related to the forum. Any attempted assignment against these terms has no legal effect.

Neither the exercise of any right under this Agreement, nor waiver of any breach of this Agreement, waives any other breach of this Agreement.

These terms embody all the terms of agreement between you and the company about use of the forum. These terms entirely replace any other agreements about your use of the forum, written or not.

For updates that contain substantial changes, the company agrees to e-mail you, if you’ve created an account and provided a valid e-mail address. The company may also announce updates with special messages or alerts on the forum.

Once you get notice of an update to these terms, you must agree to the new terms in order to keep using the forum.
