“Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, possibly one of the most famous lines emerging from
Sanskrit literature. This phrase is another demonstration of the all-inclusive attitude that our Indian
tradition has. Unity in diversity is something that we have been practicing for thousands of years, the
underlying belief says the same, we have emerged from one, the Brahman, the ultimate reality.
Originally from Maha Upanishad, the “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” phrase is part of this Shlok.

Transliteration:
ayaṃ nijaḥ paro veti gaṇanā laghucetasām।
udāracaritānāṃ tu vasudhaiva kuṭumbakam॥
Hindi translation:
English translation:
This is mine, that is his, say the small minded,
The wise believe that the entire world is a family.
