Dhanwantari, who is also worshipped on the occasion of Dhanteras, is the god of Ayurveda who imparted the wisdom of Ayurveda for the betterment of mankind and to help rid it of the suffering of disease.
We are celebrating the spirit of millions of doctors who have dedicated their lives for us. Dhanteras is also celebrated as the “National Ayurveda Day”.
सत्यं च येन निरतं रोगं विधूतं, अन्वेषितं च सविधिं आरोग्यमस्य।
गूढं निगूढं औषध्यरूपम्, धन्वन्तरिं च सततं प्रणमामि नित्यं॥
Transliteration:
satyaṃ ca yena nirataṃ rogaṃ vidhūtaṃ, anveṣitaṃ ca savidhiṃ ārogyamasya।
gūḍhaṃ nigūḍhaṃ auṣadhyarūpam, dhanvantariṃ ca satataṃ praṇamāmi nityaṃ॥
English Translation:
One who wiped out all the diseases, truly and constantly, One who discovered the guidelines for (good) health, One who uncovered the hidden nature of medicinal plants, I, forever, bow to the God Dhanwantari.
Hindi Translation:
जिन्होंने निरंतर समस्त रोग दूर किये, जिन्होंने (अच्छे) आरोग्य के विधी बताई,
जिन्होंने ओषधियों के छुपे स्वरूप को बताया, उन धन्वंतरी भगवान को मै प्रणाम करता हुँ।

Dhanteras Post 2020
स्वास्थ्याय समृद्ध्यै सुखाय च शुभकामनाः।
Transliteration:
svāsthyāya samṛddhyai sukhāya ca śubhakāmanāḥ।
English Translation:
Wishing you health, prosperity and happiness.
Hindi Translation:
आपको स्वास्थ्य, समृद्धि और आनंद की कामना।
English Translation:
The one who is of golden complexion, beautiful and adorned with gold and silver garlands.
Who is like the moon with a golden Aura, who is Lakshi, the embodiment of Sri; O Jatavedo, Invoke for me goddess Lakshmi.
Hindi Translation:
हे जातवेदा (सर्वज्ञ) अग्निदेव ! सुवर्ण जैसी रंग वाली, किञ्चित हरितवर्ण विशिष्टा,
सोने और चाँदी के हार पेहनने वाली, चन्द्रवत् प्रसन्नकान्ति, स्वर्णमयी लक्ष्मीदेवी को मेरे लिये आवाहन करो।
English Translation:
Goddess Bhagwati Mahalakshmi, who gives success, wisdom, enjoyment and salvation! I always salute you.
Hindi Translation:
सिद्धि, बुद्धि, भोग और मोक्ष देने वाली हे मन्त्रपूत भगवति महालक्ष्मि! आपको सदैव प्रणाम।

दीपज्योतिः परंब्रह्म दीपज्योतिर्जनार्दनः।
दीपो हरतु मे पापं दीपज्योतिर्नमोऽस्तु ते॥
Transliteration:
dīpajyotiḥ paraṃbrahma dīpajyotirjanārdanaḥ।
dīpo haratu me pāpaṃ dīpajyotirnamo’stu te॥
English Translation:
The light of the lamp (Diya) represents the supreme Brahman, the light of the lamp represents Janardhana (the master of the universe),
Let the light of this lamp eliminate our sins; My salutations to the this (radiant and eternal) light.
Hindi Translation:
दीपक की रोशनी सर्वोच्च ब्राह्मण का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है, दीपक की रोशनी जनार्दन (ब्रह्मांड का स्वामी) का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है,
(प्रार्थना है कि) इस दीपक का प्रकाश हमारे पापों का हरण करें। मैं इस प्रकाश (जीवनदाता) को अभिवादन करता हूँ।
