मातस्त्वत्तो वित्तं चित्तं स्वत्वं प्रतिभा देहबलम्।
mātastvatto vittaṃ cittaṃ svatvaṃ pratibhā dehabalam
Mother, from you comes wealth, mind, self-existence, splendour and strength.
हे माता, आपसे ही धन, चित्त, स्वत्व, प्रतिभा और बल प्राप्त होता है।
वन्दे भारतमातरम् ३
नान्यो मन्त्रो नान्यचिन्तनं नान्यद्देशहिताद्धि ृते।
nānyo mantro nānyacintanaṃ nānyaddeśahitāddhi ṛte।
There is no purpose, thought, or concern beyond the nation's interest.
देश के हित के अलावा कोई अन्य उद्देश्य, कोई अन्य विचार या और कुछ भी नहीं है।
वन्दे भारतमातरम् ३
वन्दे नितरां भारतवसुधाम्।
vande nitarāṃ bhāratavasudhmā।
Eternal salutations to the land of Bharat.
भारत की भूमि को सदा नमस्कार।
उत्तरं यत्समुद्रस्य हिमाद्रेश्चैव दक्षिणम्।
वर्षं तद्भारतं नाम भारती यत्र
सन्ततिः॥॥
uttaraṃ yatsamudrasya himādreścaiva dakṣiṇam।
varṣaṃ tadbhārataṃ nāma bhāratī yatra santatiḥ॥॥
That which is to the north of the ocean and to the south of the snowy mountain,
that subcontinent is called Bhārata (India), where eloquence perpetuates.
जो समुद्र के उत्तर में स्थित है और हिमाद्रि के दक्षिण में,
वह भारतवर्ष कहलाता है, जहाँ वाग्मिता सतत कायम है।
अथर्ववेदः १२.१.१
सत्यं बृहदृतमुग्रं दीक्षा तपो ब्रह्म यज्ञः पृथिवीं धारयन्ति।
satyaṃ bṛhadbṛtamugramDikṣā tapo brahma yajñaḥ pṛthivīṃ dhārayanti।
Great truthfulness, real knowledge, bravery, devotion to righteousness, efficiency, penance,
power and sacrifice - these merits sustain the nation.
महान सत्यता, यथार्थ ज्ञान, क्षात्रतेज, धर्म के प्रति समर्पण, दक्षता, तपस्या, शक्ति और बलिदान - ये गुण राष्ट्र को बनाएँ रखते हैं।
अथर्ववेदः १२.१.१
ऐक्यं बलं समाजस्य तदभावे स दुर्बलः ।
तस्मात् ऐक्यं प्रशंसन्ति दृढ़ं
राष्ट्रहितैषिणः ॥॥
aikyaṃ balaṃ samājasya tadabhāve sa durBalaḥ ।
tasmāt aikyaṃ praśaṃsanti dṛḍhaṃ rāṣṭrahitaiṣiṇaḥ ॥॥
Unity is the strength of society, and without it, society is weak. Hence those who wish the good of the nation heartily encourage Unity.
एकता समाज की शक्ति है, और इसके बिना हम दुर्बल हैं।
अत: देश के शुभ चिंतक एकता को प्रोत्साहन देते हैं।
A good nation requires a great vision and people who will put in hard work to make it happen. But if you want a GREAT nation, it takes more than that, it demands sacrifices, a lot of them.
And our country is full of people who will sacrifice everything they have. In fact, सेवा (service), दान
(charity) and बलिदान (sacrifice) are rooted in our culture, and these values are what our forefathers
taught
us.
We will inculcate these values in us and we will make a great Nation.
