Chhath Puja 2025

बृंहितं तेजःपुञ्जं च वायुमाकाशमेव च।
प्रभुं च सर्वलोकानां तं सूर्यं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥
Transliteration:
bṛṃhitaṃ tejaḥpuñjaṃ ca vāyumākāśameva ca।
prabhuṃ ca sarvalokānāṃ taṃ sūryaṃ praṇamāmyaham॥
Hindi translation:
मैं सूर्यदेव की पूजा करता हूँ, जो शक्तिशाली हैं, बहुत दूर तक फैले हुए हैं, बहुत तेजस्वी हैं,
सम्पूर्ण वायु और आकाश को अपने में समाहित किये हुए हैं, समस्त लोकों के स्वामी हैं।
English translation:
I worship the Sun God, who is powerful and has spread extensively,
is very radiant,
encompasses the whole air and ether, Lord of all the worlds.

Chhath Puja 2024

सप्ताश्वरथमारूढं प्रचण्डं कश्यपात्मजम्।
श्वेतपद्मधरं देवं तं सूर्यं प्रणमाम्यहम्॥
Transliteration:
saptāśvarathamārūḍhaṃ pracaṇḍaṃ
kaśyapātmajam।
śvetapadmadharaṃ devaṃ taṃ sūryaṃ praṇamāmyaham॥
Hindi translation:
मैं सूर्यदेव को नमन करता हूँ, जो सात
घोड़ों के रथ पर सवार हैं, तेजस्वी हैं,
कश्यप के पुत्र हैं और श्वेत कमल धारण करते हैं।
English translation:
I worship the Sun God, who rides the
chariot of seven horses,
is radiant, is the son of Kashyapa and holds a white lotus.

आदिदेव नमस्तुभ्यं प्रसीद मम भास्कर।
दिवाकर नमस्तुभ्यं प्रभाकर नमोऽस्तुते॥
Transliteration:
ādideva namastubhyaṃ prasīda mama
bhāskara।
divākara namastubhyaṃ prabhākara namo'stute॥
Hindi translation:
हे आदिदेव, मैं आपको सादर प्रणाम करता हूँ।
हे भास्कर, कृपया मुझ पर अपनी कृपा प्रदान करें।
हे दिवाकर, मैं विनम्रतापूर्वक आपको प्रणाम करता हूँ, और मैं
प्रकाश देने वाले प्रभाकर को भी नमस्कार करता हूँ।
English translation:
O Adideva, the Primordial God, I offer
my respectful salutations to you. Please bestow your grace upon me,
O Bhaskara, the Sun God. O Divakara, the
Maker of Day,
I humbly bow to you, and I extend my salutations to Prabhakara, the One who illuminates.
